Lynas Engineers is Two Years Old

It’s our second birthday! Lynas has had a brilliant two years watching the business grow, securing new clients and working on a series of exciting projects; and we’ve even hired a young apprentice to join the growing Lynas team.

In our short time as a company we’ve had the privilege to work on projects for high-profile clients including Middlesbrough Council and South Tyneside Council. This has seen us carry out highway design, drainage, traffic signage and work on improved cyclist and pedestrian access for the Cargo Fleet roundabout in Middlesbrough in order to improve traffic flow in the area, as well as design a safety bollard system in South Shields to reduce vehicle access on the busy high street.

We have even won a North East Business Award for Digital Technology in recognition of our innovative use of technology, in particular our 3D modelling software system. This technology helps us to show our clients how our projects and ideas will work in real life. We were also shortlisted for Teesside Newcomer of the Year at the awards ceremony held earlier this year.

Last month Lynas received a visit from Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen where we were able to show him around the offices and demonstrate our impressive use of technology. It was also a fundamental chance to discuss forward planning and procurement opportunities for young local companies like ours.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients and suppliers for their ongoing support. Going forward we’re excited to continue to grow the business and have some big plans for the future including increasing our services and moving offices – watch this space!
