Lynas Engineers had the pleasure of hosting its 12th Preferred Partners Event. A vibrant roundtable event showcasing almost all of our 30 Partners whilst exploring new collaborative opportunities. Held at Middlesbrough Football Club, the event brought together 25 industry professionals for a morning of meaningful connections and discussions.
The event opened with breakfast and an opportunity for informal networking. This set the tone for an engaging roundtable session, where each partner had the opportunity to introduce their business and highlight the people behind it, share updates on recent projects, and go through specialties and achievements It was fantastic to hear about the wide range of recent award wins, innovative solutions developed, and the sheer geographical reach of our network, which reinforces the incredible expertise within the group.
A key highlight was the launch of the Preferred Partners Brochure, which acts as a directory of the Partners, providing a snapshot of each partner’s specialisms, key points of contact, and services. Many attendees expressed how valuable this resource will be, both for fostering new collaborations and for strengthening existing ones.
Freeform discussion during the event also highlighted the importance of nurturing the next generation of engineers and construction professionals by emphasising robust training programmes, mentorship opportunities, and apprenticeships as practical solutions to the industry’s skills gap. Attendees shared success stories, including examples from Lynas, highlighting how apprenticeships provide invaluable experience for students while introducing businesses to fresh talent.
This roundtable was a shining example of why events like these are so important to provide an opportunity for all our partners to reconnect. It wasn’t just about showcasing expertise; it was about creating opportunities to collaborate and innovate. Freeform discussions highlighted how sharing knowledge and leveraging each other’s strengths can drive mutual success.
