This video, created by Lynas Engineers utilising MicroDrainage FloodFlow software, demonstrates the first steps in identifying flood paths on proposed developments given the site specific drainage constraints.

The flow paths identify high risk areas where SuDS features should be utilised, where attenuation should be installed or where potential developments should be built up.

The means of establishing flood paths at the early stages of design can assist our clients in developing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports for planning; as well as helping to identify cost measures in order to mitigate risk to any building/infrastructure proposals.

Flood paths can also be determined at a later stage to demonstrate to the Local Water Authority that flooding to properties will be avoided during more serious storm events (e.g. 1 in 100 +CC%).
