A66 Throughabout, Rob Farnham – Principal Transport Planning Officer
“I have no hesitation in recommending their services.”
‘I am Middlesbrough Council’s designated Project Manager for the A66/A171 Cargo Fleet Junction Improvements. Valued at £4.4 million, this major highway improvement scheme comprises the introduction of a ‘through about’ and a traffic signal-controlled crossroads at the junction of two of the Borough’s busiest roads, thereby reducing journey times, improving journey time reliability and providing safe crossing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists including those using National Cycle Route 1.
Lynas Engineers have been closely involved at all states of the scheme, including carrying out detailed design, preparing tender documentation and project managing its delivery. This has thrown up a number of challenges – not least managing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic during the construction stage – all of which have been successfully overcome.
On a personal level I have enjoyed working with Rob Lynas and his team. Their expertise, enthusiasm and collaborative approach to problem solving have ensured that the scheme and … I am confident that the delivery of the project is in safe hands. Consequently I have no hesitation in recommending their services.’
