Today marks the end of an era in Lynas Engineers history. Today we leave the Wilton Centre after seven successful years there.
We have grown and evolved significantly from the business we established in 2016 and during that time, and the Wilton Centre has given us a great base to grow and thrive from. But now, with a growing team and new ambitions for the business we are moving to a new site in the historic Cargo Fleet Offices in Middlesbrough. This building has been at the heart of the industrial landscape and evolution of Teesside for over 100 years, and now housing a wide range of businesses that are taking new steps forward to shape the region, we are excited to join their list of residents.
Suite 3 (or the new Lynas HQ!) has given us a ‘blank canvas opportunity’ where we will be taking more control of our own space, suppliers and costs. In particular control over heating and power usage allowing us to meet our carbon reduction targets that we have set to help make our business and team more sustainable. We have worked with our IT provider, Cornerstone Business Solutions, to install the latest IT technology allowing us to improve our connectivity and the security of our data; as well as improving the ability to work remotely when necessary. Alongside this, the location of the Cargo Fleet Offices will reduce commute times and distances for many of the current team, whilst still allowing us to stay part of the fantastic communities of Middlesbrough, and nearby Redcar and Cleveland as a wider field.
Whilst we have loved being part of the incredible community at the Wilton Centre, Lynas Engineers is growing and our needs are changing rapidly. So, to the Wilton Centre and its tenants, thank you for being an important part of the Lynas journey so far, and to Cargo Fleet Offices, our current and to our future team and partners – we welcome you to the next chapter of our history!
